What to Expect

Every visit is different… because every patient is different!  

We always look forward to meeting new patients and our goal is to make you feel as comfortable as possible! We consider it an honor to care for your endodontic needs and greatly appreciate the trust you place in us to do so. Every patient is unique, and our experienced team is committed to providing high-quality care based on your customized treatment plan.

Please fill out your Patient Registration and Medical History forms PRIOR to your appointment.

Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your appointment:

  • Your referral slip.
  • A list of medications you are presently taking.
  • If you have dental insurance, please bring your insurance information with you as this will help to save time and help us process any claims.
  • Any questions you have for us.

Your initial appointment will consist of a consultation explaining your diagnosis and treatment options. We will ask you questions about what you’re experiencing and the history of your tooth to determine your best course of endodontic treatment. We will use our advanced imaging technology –Including X-Rays and 3D CBCT scans– to help us determine a diagnosis for your tooth and provide you with a clear picture about what is going on.

Please do not take any pain medication prior to your consultation appointment, including if you have a treatment appointment on the same day. This will make it easier for us to quickly assess your problem tooth and allow us to get you in quickly for treatment.

During your consultation we will cover the following topics:

  • What type of treatment you’ll need, and how long it will take.
  • Any existing dental issues that may affect treatment, such as crowns, posts, cracked teeth, and previous root canals.
  • What costs you can expect, so you can make the decision that works best for you.

Based on the type of initial appointment scheduled, we will either provide treatment the same day or schedule a separate treatment visit for you. However, if you are experiencing a high level of pain we may go ahead and begin your treatment the same day.

IMPORTANT:

  • Please alert our office staff if you are pregnant; have health conditions that could cause surgical complications (e.g. diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves, artificial joints, rheumatic fever, etc.); or require medications or antibiotics prior to dental cleanings.
  • A parent or guardian must accompany all patients under the age of 18 at their consultation visit.
