Standard root canal treatment uses various files down inside the tooth to remove infected tissue mechanically. However, the canal system inside your tooth is quite complex. There are areas that connect with twists or turns that these files, unfortunately, cannot reach. Leaving these areas untouched means that bacteria would be left behind. This can lead to your root canal needing to be redone, or even the loss of your tooth if it goes untreated. While a traditional root canal does clean quite a bit, it does not match the cleaning produced by the GentleWave® System.
